2nd Annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival
August 10-12th, 2012

Once again we made the trip to Butler, PA for the 2nd Annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. We arrived on Friday afternoon and headed to downtown Butler for the Jeep Invasion and street party. Upon arriving the sky's opened up and it poured but that didn't last long before the sun was back out again. Needless to say it didn't dampen anyone's spirits as you will see in the pictures. Downtown main street was lined with Jeep's and Jeep fans of all ages. Think of it as one of the biggest Jeep shows you have ever seen with plenty of restaurants and pubs to duck in and out of for good food and drink. Then it's back out onto the streets again to swap jeep stories and take in all of the jeeps from classics to new. The Mopar Underground had all of the Jeep concepts out in full force with this being the largest display on the East Coast which included the newest additions to the family the J12 and Mighty FC. The second day Saturday we headed out to the Butler Fairgrounds where we had the opportunity to take in the show field which was packed with all makes and models of Jeeps. Jeep fans travel a great distance to get to this show so it's nice to see such a variety of new and old jeeps allot of which we have never seen before. Later that evening we took part in the Great American Pigout which was a giant BBQ held at the fairgrounds. The food was good and it was allot of fun. The Jeep Team Challenge was also held during the BBQ, you could watch drivers and their copilots test their skills some while driving blindfold! Sunday was exciting as we took in the Jeep obstacle course and seen allot of jeepers hitting the many trails that were provided. Although we didn't have a trail rig this year it was still allot of fun to watch. In addition we visited the Jeeps through the Decades display celebrating Butler as the birthplace of the Jeep and walked through the flea market which was huge compared to last year and featured parts for military and civilian jeeps. On Saturday and Sunday we also had the opportunity to meet and greet allot of our JeepTruck.com friends and fans as they stopped by our vendor tent to say hello. In addition we had the pleasure of spending a good deal of time with the guys from Jeep Action Magazine and the Mopar Underground team. The guys from Jeep Action are always supportive of our full size jeeps and cover them thoroughly in their magazine. Michael, Neil and Daren had allot of Jeep adventures and stories to share with us and we look forward to reading more about them in Jeep Action Magazine. Craig from Mopar Underground told us that the Mighty FC and the J12 were built in 10 weeks which is amazing considering these trucks are not just for show. They actually take these trucks wheeling as well, we were witness to some of their wheeling antics after the show closed on Sunday. The Mopar Underground team builds some amazing vehicles and we look forward to another Jeep truck in the near future. The attendance at this years Festival was even bigger and the On Monday we had a chance to relax and take a hike in the Moraine State park and have lunch by the lake. If you get a chance to visit Butler, PA it is worth taking the time out to see this beautiful park. A big thanks goes out to Eric Jankowski of Jersey Jeeps for manning our vendor tent while we ventured out to take in the show. Eric brought his Jeep Overlander to the show it is a rare site to see and one of the best looking Jeeps we have ever seen. See if you can find the white overlander among the pictures featured here. Mark your calendars for next years Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival which is scheduled for June 14-16, 2013 or check out their website at http://www.bantamjeepfestival.com Until next time...

Keep on Jeep'n O||||O

Mark
